Understanding Predatory Journals Online
This session introduces students, faculty, and researchers to the growing problem of predatory publishing. As the pressure to publish intensifies in academic circles, so does the risk of encountering fraudulent journals that exploit researchers' work without providing legitimate peer review or scholarly oversight. Through real-world examples, interactive discussion, and hands-on evaluation tools, participants will develop the critical skills necessary to distinguish legitimate journals from predatory ones, protecting both their reputations and their research.
