Waring Historical Library Presents April 2021 SHC Noon Lecture Featuring Dr. Jacqueline Antonovich Online

The April 2021 Student History Club (SHC) Noon Lecture, sponsored by the Waring Historical Library, will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 12 PM virtually on Zoom. Dr. Jacqueline Antonovich will present, "Women Physicians, Eugenics, and the Politics of Reproductive Surveillance in the American West, 1870-1930".

Dr. Antonovich is a historian of health and medicine in the United States, with particular interests in how race, gender, and politics shape the medical field and access to health care. Her teaching interests include histories of public health; alternative medicine; disability; reproduction and childbirth; and epidemics. She also focuses on the history of the American West, nineteenth-century America, and the Gilded Age and Progressive Era.

Seating is limited and registration is required by Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 12 PM to reserve your seat and receive log in information. This event is free and open to the public.
